Pitching Practice Makes "Perfect"
1) The pitch:
2) Reflection on feedback:
On my last elevator pitch, I received no criticism. A majority of my comments said my audience had a better understanding of my idea now that I had practiced the elevator pitch a few times, and my pitch was more clear and concise. Therefore, I aimed this time to be even more clear with my pitch and to try to complete it with less mistakes as last time. Additionally, I tried to be a bit more organized and move from my hook to my explanation more seamlessly.
3)What I changed:
I definitely found myself to be much more comfortable in front of the camera. With my first pitch, it took numerous tries and I found myself getting frustrated not remembering what to say next. Now, I have my pitch pretty much memorized and found it a lot easier to say with less tries. I still had some difficulties, but I know with more practice it will get even easier to say my pitch without mistakes. I can definitely see the improvement from my first pitch, bot in presentation and in how easy it is to complete now.
Hey Shaina,
ReplyDeleteI thought this elevator pitch was amazing! i have no criticism or critiques for it! You started by talked about an issue and how it effects us by talking about a very relatable story and told us how you have an idea so it never happens again. You then went into large details about the idea. Although you received no criticism from your last pitch, it was great that you still found your own things you could improve on such as organization. Nice job!
Hi Shaina,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed watching your elevator pitch as well as reading the feedback you got because I was unable to see your first two elevator pitches. I agree from my own personal experience that by the third pitch I also felt much more comfortable in front of the camera and had an easier time talking and persuading the need for my product. Overall great job!!
Hi Shaina,
ReplyDeleteGreat work on your elevator pitch. You had great delivery and I could really tell that you spent a lot of time on this pitch and perfecting what you wanted to say. Practice definitely makes perfect, the more you present this pitch (either in person or online) the better it will be. I like how personal your pitch is, you don’t seem like you are talking at the viewers.
Hi Shaina,
ReplyDeleteI believe this pitch is even better than your last one which is very impressive. You were really able to effectively grab your audience's attention which is crucial in an elevator pitch. I can relate in how much each has gotten progressively easier and it is evident in yours. Great job and keep up the great work!
